Jennifer & Jon || Parkersburg Country Club Wedding || WV Wedding Photogher
As soon as we arrived at Jennifer’s mom’s house we knew the day was going to be great. The atmosphere was relaxing and not at all chaotic like wedding days can become. We were welcomed in like family and offered food and drinks; what a warm welcome to start the day. From getting ready to formal portraits and ceremony to reception, Jon and Jennifer’s country club wedding was full of sweet moments centered around family and friends. Here are some of our favorites: 1.The Cookie Story: Jon’s mom made multiple varieties of homemade cookies as wedding favors for guests to select from and take home. The recipes were passed down from Jon’s grandma. The cookie table had a plaque that told the story of how Jon’s Grandma made cookies every week for her husband until she became sick. After which, Jon’s grandfather kept the cookie tradition alive and passed this down to Jon’s mom. What a sweet story and an even sweeter moment to share with all of their loved ones on such a special day. 2. Father Daughter First Look: First looks between brides and grooms are always some of our favorite moments. But when a bride decides to have a first look with her father it is always meaningful. The moment Jennifer’s father saw his daughter all put together in her wedding day finery there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. This was one of the most emotional and tender times in our wedding photography experience. We feel so blessed to have been able to capture this moment. 3. Displayed Photographs: Jon and Jennifer got married in front of a fireplace flanked by bookcases that were filled with florals and photographs. The photos told the story of their families, including family members wedding photographs, and the story of their relationship, including photographs throughout their time together. This was such a simple, yet very elegant way to display love during the ceremony. Jon and Jennifer, we hope that you always have a life together filled with the love of family and friends and, most importantly, a lifetime of opportunities to share your love with each other.
