Viva Las Vegas || Living with the Linger-Hunts || Personal

Going to Las Vegas for vacation was never actually a plan we had. Yeah, Vegas looks cool in photos and movies - when Ocean's 11 first debuted, we wore that VHS out. To be honest, we aren't big drinkers or gamblers, but this was one of those once in a lifetime trips that literally falls into your lap.

We are fortunate enough to have a family timeshare with Wyndham Worldwide and RCI, so when last minute we decided to go somewhere, we hopped online to see if there were any rentals available for a holiday week. We knew this was highly unlikely, but we gave it a shot. The only thing available in the entire country was the Wyndham Desert Blue Resort in Las Vegas. Our first instinct was "I guess we aren't taking a vacation this year," but after looking in to it, we found flights... for $100... Round Trip. How could we say no to that ?!?!?! So we booked everything that day and the rest was history.

Desert Blue was beautiful. Modern decor and a pretty blue pallet. The outdoor area was by far our favorite and we loved spending time by the pool. We even rented a cabana for a day. It was also perfectly positioned across the street from Rio, the first casino we had the pleasure of visiting as our check in time approached.

During our trip we had the pleasure of watching the fountains at Bellagio, having an amazing dinner at Paris, exploring wildlife at The Mirage, seeing Pirates at Treasure Island, exploring all over the Vegas strip, enjoyed our first taste of Sprinkles cupcakes, adventured to the Grand Canyon (ask us about that story some day), and so much more!

We hope you enjoy seeing photos from our trip through the lenses of our iphones. lol :)

All and all, we had an amazing time. We had amazing food and we saw things that we never actually thought we would. The bright lights, the busy streets, the dry heat. - XOXO S & C
