A Naugh-Tea Event || Events with the Linger-Hunts

“You are cardinally invited to attend a Jane Austen inspired tea party… Shh, Don’t tell Mr. Darcy, this is actually a little Naugh-Tea.” This is the line that greeted guests when they opened up the handmade book invitations to a bachelorette party that Summer and I recently hosted. Whether we are planning weddings or showering our friends with love, we passionately enjoy coordinating events.

Last year we were asked to be bridesmaids in our good friend Ashley’s wedding. The fun part, she was a bridesmaid in our wedding as well. So, when we had the opportunity to throw Ashley’s bachelorette party we were thrilled. The excitement continued to grow as we learned that Ashley was not interested in the typical bachelorette train wreck, but instead, she wanted something more sophisticated and girly- something more along the lines of a bridal shower, as her wedding shower was a couple’s shower shared with her now husband Joe.

Together, Summer, Ashley, the other bridesmaids, and myself came up with the idea to have a Jane Austen inspired tea party. But in true Linger-Hunt fashion, we couldn’t stop there. Summer and I designed a Naugh-tea Party, a Jane Austen tea party with a bachelorette twist. The day was filled with a traditional afternoon tea service, Jane Austen inspired party games scattered with a few shush worthy activities, and a lingerie shower gifting for Ashley.
