Oreo Truffles & Our First Easter as a Married Couple || Living with the Linger-Hunts || Personal

Yes, we are that couple. That couple that decides to celebrate all of their first-time together moments. And then decides to celebrate all of their firsts together over again as a married couple! This past Saturday, Summer and I spent time making cake pops and Oreo truffles and styling an Easter dinner for four. We had so much fun we decided to share one of the recipes with you. So, without further ado...

It's #MondayMunchies and we are sharing the Oreo Truffle Recipe we used for our Easter Egg truffles this past weekend. Whether you want to make simple truffles or spend time shaping and decorating them, this recipe is simple and requires very little ingredients. Go satisfy your sweet tooth!

Oreo Truffles

Ingredients: -1 package Oreo Cookies ( Not Double stuffed) -1 8oz package of cream cheese (can use 4oz cream cheese and 4oz vanilla frosting if you do not like cream cheese flavoring) -Desired colors of Wilton candy coating (we used chocolate, white, and pink) Tools: -Parchment Paper -Cookie sheet (plate or other flat surface will work) -Food processor (or sandwich bag and rolling pin) -spoon or small ice cream scoop Directions: 1. Crush cookies, entire package, using a food processor to a very fine texture (sandwich bag and rolling pin if you don't have one). 2. Mix in cream cheese until thoroughly combined. 3. Equally divide mixture (spoon, small ice cream scoop, by eye, etc.) and roll into balls or other shape. Place shaped mixture onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet. 4. Refrigerate until solid, 1-2 hours. 5. When truffles are solid set them out on counter while heating Wilton candy coating according to package instructions (typically in 30- 45 second increments on defrost or 50% strength in the microwave). 6. Dip mixture into coating and thoroughly coat. Place dipped truffle onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Let dry completely (placing back in serif berate for 30 minutes will speed up the process). 7. If you desire, decorate the truffles using other colored candy coating, sprinkles, roughly chopped Oreos, etc. Store leftover Oreo Truffles in sealed container and refrigerate.
